This page shows the village as was prior to WWII. All of the shops
and services have now gone the properties converted into private homes. Only the names, Old School House, The Bakers, showing
were once they were located. Other places, whilst retaining their function have had changes to their fabric. Note the alterations
to The Boot and the War Memorial and observe the complete rebuilding of Sheep Bridge. Included are people and things that
were of note at the time.
