A village where time has lingered.

Houghton and Bossington are two small villages that lie on the banks of the beautiful River Test in the very heart of the Test Valley in Hampshire. Communities have existed in Houghton and Bossington for over 2,000 years. There have been many, many changes down the centuries and now in the twenty-first century we are on the world wide web

The website has been designed not only for those of us who live in Houghton or Bossington but also those who have a past connections with our community. We also welcome visitors and very much hope that you will discover many things of interest here and that the website will prove to be a valuable resource for useful information about local events and the surrounding area.

Houghton and Bossington lie about 2 miles south of Stockbridge. From Stockbridge (on the A30) the turning to Houghton is at the Salisbury end of the High Street.

The houghton-bossington website was originally designed by Eva Gauterin, Alistair Dougall, Lucy Ward Dyer and Carol Elliott. It was revised in 2006 by Ken Jones.
